Many people believe that it’s simply too expensive to travel. But, as captain Jako Hall explains, there are many budget-friendly destinations that not only won’t break the bank but will provide the experience of a lifetime.
The world has many beautiful places that can be seen without needing to shell out your entire life savings. Here are some of the best destination spots that are budget-friendly.
The Great Wall of China
The Great Wall is among the most impressive feats of mankind. It stretched almost 5,500 miles throughout all of China and was built around 200 B.C.
There are no fees to visit the wall, and it can be accessed from many popular spots throughout the country. There’s a very popular destination spot on the wall that’s only roughly 40 miles from Beijing, providing an easy access point for international travellers.
There are plenty of affordable accommodations and dining options near the wall as well.
Visiting the capital of the United States is one of the most moderately-priced trips you can take in America. There are loads of museums that are free for everyone to enter, not to mention all the monuments located outside along the Washington Mall.
The District of Columbia is also home to a number of quaint, quirky, and unique neighbourhoods for you to walk around and grab a bite to eat. While there are certainly expensive options, you can easily make this trip on a budget, too.
If your trip to the United States takes you to the west, then stop off at Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona. This is among one of the greatest natural wonders in the world, where you can stand atop cliffs looking down at the canyon below, which was formed by water.
There are many travel hubs within a few hours’ drive of the Grand Canyon. Plus, there are accommodations and food options to meet just about any budget.
Machu Picchu in Peru may offer the most affordable trip to one of the Seven Wonders of the World. High atop the mountains, this ancient Incan marvel is a sight not to be missed.
What’s great about Machu Picchu is it’s very budget-friendly. Airfare to the country is much more affordable than other exotic destinations in the world. Plus, you can often get a great exchange rate on Peruvian soles.
Airfare is the most expensive part of this trip to Cambodia. Once you’re in the country, though, everything else will be extremely affordable.
As Jako Hall explains, you can stay at upscale hotels for the same price as normal motels in other countries. Transportation, food, and drink are very inexpensive, too, giving you a huge bang for your buck.
If you’re looking for a truly unique experience, then Iceland is it. It’s truly a marvel of nature, as much of the country is fueled by geothermal energy.
You can see beautiful fjords and swim in pools heated by the earth. Flights to Reykjavik are quite inexpensive, and you can get around much of the country by car.
